I WANT TO LEARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About... Iran
1. I googled "Iran"
I received 243 million results. HMMMM.....
2. I googled "History of Iran"
I received 127 million results. First result is "Wikipedia". Sounds good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Iran
Some good stuff here. I scanned the article and learned about Genghis Khan etc.
But as I thought about it, what I really want to know is why the U.S. and Israel are unhappy with Iran and how Iran runs its government. I've heard there were protests there and also heard that they have had votes in the past. I've looked up some Iran films and found an interesting film called, 'Persepolis" which is a major city in Iran....
3. I went to Twitter and searched "Iran". http://twitter.com/#!/search/Iran
I received lots of current news comments and links to current news stories about oil, the President of Iran....
4. I went back to google and searched for" follow Iran news events" and received a good link to THE NEW YORK TIMES which is a LIVE BLOG- updated events on an hourly basis:
http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/
5. Then I had the bright idea of searching specifically for "bloggers on Iran" because then I could find the specifc type of info that I am after... Search results were 8 million. First link: http://www.iraniansblogs.com/
And for those interested in thoughtful, informative commentaries on Arab affairs,Jadaliyya will be a great resource.
This blogger offered an excellent link to COMMENTARIES ON ARAB AFFAIRS. THIS IS GOOD INFO., a link I may never have found otherwise.
This is an excellent site that is a directory of all the English Blogs on Iran,, listed by those that are inside Iran and outside Iran. This is important because many people in IRan are fighting for democracy and freedom of speech. They are in society where they cannot speak their mind and can be arrested for no reason. It's called OPPRESSION. These bloggers, many of them, are telling the world their stories and this I find interesting, since I believe in democracy and free speech as opposed to a police state. I want to help these people free themselves. So, now I have the info. I want so that I can learn and maybe do some good in this world in one way that I know how.
So waht do you want to learn about? How can you help make the world a better place?

Personal Learning Network
Here is a space that a group of 3 people can post and comment. It becomes a forum so that if one person finds dome stuff and offers some ideas on the topic, they can do it as a comment to this blog. Then each person can keep posting comments and there will be a running discussion of the topic that you have to present. Out of this sould come some sense of direction, subtopics, good example os censorship, and some ideas on how to present this topic that is entertaining and informative. This can alos be a great way for the teacher to SEE YOUR PROCESS. DID YOU WORK AS A GROUP? DID YOU PUT YOUR HEADS TOGETHER?
You could also post your links here although Symbaloo or Delicious would keep them better in one place.
How else could you stay in touch and keep a running log of your online P.L.N.?
FACEBOOK?
EVERNOTE?
GOOGLE DOCS?
EMAIL?
I want you to SHOW US HOW YOU DEVELOPED YOUR P.L.N. and HOW YOU STAYED IN TOUCH.
Mr. J.
Post a comment letting me know how you are developing your P.L.N.

Welcome to pscieng3u1
Hi,
This is a place where we can keep in touch and I can post relevant things for the course, so that if I mention a site to look at or you want to post a link or ask a question this a vehicle for that. Here's a link to the Introduction to the course and the first activity.
